HOMCOM Home Stepper Review

Does The HOMCOM Home Stepper Offer Enough Of A Workout?

HOMCOM Home Stepper with Handle Hand GripSimple stepper machines like the HOMCOM Home Stepper are an appealing option for those that aren’t confident with gym equipment.

The basic specification of this model suggests that once it is assembled, it should be easy to use with no complicated settings or programmes.

But, does this mean that it doesn’t do enough to help everyone?

The Pros and Cons of this HOMCOM Home Stepper.

Pros:

  •  An accessible workout for first-time users
  •  A display for some basic data about your session
  •  A solid, stable build despite the folding design

Cons:

  •  No way to adjust the intensity
  •  No additional features or settings

The HOMCOM Home Stepper offers the bare minimum in stepper exercises within a stable device.

Let’s start by looking at the workout on offer with this machine. You get a basic stepping motion on the footplates so you can find your own rhythm and climb at your own pace. Work the tension in the pulley for resistance.

Just keep climbing until you need to or want to stop. There is also an LCD screen on the machine for information on your step count, the time elapsed, and calories burned. This is helpful for goal tracking if you use this machine regularly.

Then there is the benefit of the stability of the HOMCOM mini stepper. There is a solid steel frame with a 110kg weight allowance. This should provide a sturdy structure for users that are a little uncomfortable using compact steppers.

There is also an adjustable height on the handlebars for added comfort and non-slip rip on the footplates. Despite this size and stability, it all still folds down for storage for greater convenience.

This does mean that the HOMCOM Folding Stepper can get a bit boring or easy after a while.

One issue that is noticeable here is that there is no adjustable resistance or any other sort of adaptation. All you can do is climb. So, once you get fitter and get used to the tension, it will lose some of its appeals. The only way to make gains is to increase the duration.

This works for some users that test themselves on how high they can climb. But, it won’t work for those with a strict 20-minute workout schedule in mind.

There is also no way to track additional data, change the incline, or do anything else to diversify the workout.

How does this issue affect the final recommendation for this HOMCOM At- Home Climbing Stepper?

While there are lots of limitations here for those that want to progress further and get a lot fitter, there are still users that can benefit from this system.

The reliability of this motion and repetitive nature could be helpful for those that just need to keep moving during the day.

Regular steps on this stable, folding system could lead to improvements in mobility and confidence. It is also up to you how “far” you want to climb.

The HOMCOM fitness machine is not anything special, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a helpful tool in the right household.
